Amen! And it’s only going to get worse as we approach the end of the year festivities…talent shows, field day, grade level musicals, art show, assessment days, special programs. And on, and on, and on!
We just had PARCC testing and then the past week was the week before Spring Break. It feels like never ending distractions!

I was just saying the exact (well, not quite as creatively put) to my co-teacher this morning. Assemblies, band, chorus, assessments (that take forever!), tests, assemblies, field trips, and (yes!) lack of substitutes,special projects…yet, kids still make progress, althgh not as fast as we would like or could we push toward if we had more time.
A lot of us are asking this question… often.
